My friend Al Serhal helps me upset everyone with a heavily political discussion. He was the preacher at my church for 16 years. We drank gallons of coffee together and argued about which one of us was the best Christian many times.
Al is not a guy who even pretends that 'everyone has a right to their opinion'. Everyone has a right to Al's opinion or they have the right to be wrong. We've been friends for many years. We've agreed probably twice during those years.
I like talking to Al because he makes me think about stuff.
We talk about why Christians can vote for Trump even if he's not a role model for Christian living. We discuss how rich guys have different sex than the rest of us. It's explained that voting is like putting a coin on a teeter-totter. We wonder if the primary mission of evangelicalism is to 'not judge'. Al gives 5 reasons to vote for Donald Trump. And, for everyone who hasn't rage-quit the podcast by the end, we reveal the source of the infamous 'butterfly joke' from my Wedlocked DVD.
