Okay. I didn't get any interviews from the CCA Conference.
I'll make it up to you! I promise!
THIS EPISODE:
Driving home from Iowa I encounter more toll booths than any
three people experience in a lifetime. This prompts me to suggest
some slogans for the State of Illinois. Then I talk about the
weariness of travel and encourage you to check out my online comedy
course: (Http://school.johnbranyan.com)
Confessing to the Peaches that I didn't follow through with my
promise is like having a weight lifted off my shoulders. Emmi
destroys the house. I recap some of the people at the CCA (who I
didn't interview). Daren Streblow told a joke about canned peaches
that almost killed me. I promise I'll get Daren on the podcast.
Soon...
Peaches and I have a conversation about somebody who is moving
to Seattle because it's not Indiana. As we are well aware, the
Midwest is hell on Earth. Lots of people have the idea that a
change of venue will magically make them happy. We talk about 3
guys going out to Seattle to sleep on someone's couch. That's the
plan. The West Coast is so excellent, the vagrants are a better
class of deadbeat. If you can't be happy where you are, maybe
it's not where you are that's the problem.
My Dad has some swollen legs and I'm tasked with figuring out
how to force him to exercise. I try putting a duct tape path on his
carpet.
Cami confesses that she contemplated being a boy but she
forgot about 3 important things about girls. It's profound.
Then I have a brief talk with Kenn Kington. He tells me about
open heart surgery and lawn mowing. Kenn will be back on the
podcast soon and he's going to do some yard work for me!
